  Mountain guide and National ski instructor. Certificate in snowstudies by the SAVOIE UNIVERSITY.

Member of the ESF Courchevel 1850. Fan of good ski  and travels, Alexandre had visiting many country with his skis.Japan , south america, norway , and many other places...A week with Alex is always a small trip . After one seasons in Caucasus , Alexandre is now member of POWDERCIRCUS crew.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Patrice Hanrard .

 

 Mountain guide and national ski instructor.

Member of Pralognan’s guides office, and of the ESF courchevel 1550, Patrice had been working two seasons in Gudauri before to joint us in TURKEY . 

 Passionate by ski and mountains , Patrice is also an actor , and he know how to use his" charisme " to push you up .

 Olivier Houillot
 

 

  Mountain guide and national ski instructor.

  Rock climber and author of many first ascent. Olivier skied, climbed and worked everywhere in the world. After fews seasons in Manali with the team HHS, Olivier worked 5 seasons in TURKEY with the Turkeyheliski , then he created Heliksir in Georgia , and he is now member of the staff of POWDERCIRCUS .

Member of the ESF Courchevel 1850, and of AVENTURE MONTAGNE,Olivier is in charge of the devlopement of heliski all over the world .

Free ride expert of the team. Sensation teacher . Member of the ESF Courchevel1850. Julien is THE rider . Mr goodski . Your life will be different as soon as you will have spent ons day skiing with this guy..

Humour specialist in the Courchevel ESF 1550 , master of the joke of the days...David come with us to make it more funny . Don't ask him to be serious more than one hour...He can't....One days with him , skiing will be a days of pleasure and fun .

Alexander the " boss" of our Helirando program

 

 

Alexander, you’re in charge of the development of POWDERCIRCUS helirando program, explain to us what will be the program?

The basic idea is to enjoy the wilderness and the beauty of the Kaçkar range .

The helicopter helps us to go far away, and we use the mountain ski to climb as we do in the Alps. The trooper land us on a top in the morning, from there we ski down a beautiful run, and then we will climb with the skins to go to another peak from where we will have a new descent.

The pleasures of the heliski and at the same time those of the mountain ski? How will be organized a day of hélirando ?

We will start every morning from our base in Ayder. The trooper will land on a peak from where we will ski down. After that, two or three hours climbing in direction of a peak or a pass, will offer use another long run.

We will have a typical Turkish pic nic, and then the trooper will get us back to the base.

What will be the physical and technical level that will be required to enjoy the week?

The ski level that we ask to participate to this program is intermediary.

We want our guests to be able to ski with efficiency in different kind of snows, and easy enough to enjoy mountain skiing.

People have to be fit enough to walk 2-3 hours a days, at a normal rhythm like summer hiking. So no need to be a “chamois”, if you are used to practice off pist skiing in the Alps, this program is for you.

Will it be possible to do more runs with the help of the helicopter if people want to during their stay?

Our philosophy is to adapt our program to our guests expectations, so if the conditions are good and if the group ask to make one or two runs in heliski, we will organize it with pleasure. As soon as the machine will be available for that…

How high will we ski and does the altitude can be a problem?

Our heliski base is situated in AYDER a ski resort at the altitude of 1200 meters.

Every day, according to the snow conditions we will ski between 2500 m and 3500 m, which is the same altitude as we usually ski in the Alps. So, we guess that it won’t be a problem….

And the knowledge that our team get from the heliski is a guaranty of good days for the

 

Helirando

 

 

Helirando is a program that allowed you to use the helicopter to acced in the central part of the Kaçkar Range and to enjoy the beautifullest runs of those mountains.

In the alps refuges and road offers you the possibilities to reach easely the best spot and to enjoy ski touring in the best way . In wild range like the Kaçkar, it is unfortunately impossible to go straight to the best without the help of the trooper.

 

 

Our helirando programm offer you 20 minutes flying times per day. This will usualy allowed you one landing a day on a top from wich you will ski down to the departures of another run that you will climb for few ( several? ) hours before to ski it down in the direction of the pick up point where the trooper will catch you to bring you back to our base.

 

You will have 6 days skiing , using at your choice your flying time either to visit as much as you can the range , either to optimize your ratio flying time / skiing pleasure.

 

While you will ski in the wildest part of the Kaçkar Range, you will have the security of beiing close to the trooper and close to a team of guides who know perfectly well those mountains.

 

For evident safety reasons you will be systemically accompanied by a guide and always in radio contact with our base. We ask our visitor to come with their own ski touring gears, and we provide you the technical safety kit ( Shovel , Probe, DVA, Airbag, Radio )  

 

To avoid problems of different level between heliski touring peoples, we just accept inscription from groups of 4 personns that know each other and who comes with a common project.

Hospital GUDUSHAURI , Georgia

 

" Before the 2012 Winter and for three seasons , the team who is now in charge of heliski in Turkey , opened the heliski base of Gudauri in Georgia , this blog relate this story and as it's a part of our history we keep the article about this place where we spent good time."

 

 

After the customs clearance,  our helicopter go straight to confirm  the DZ of the hospital of Gudushauri .

During the all season a medical staff will be at our base, with an ambulance. We will be in position to medicalize the rescue from the hotel and to integrate the doctor in our safety procedure.

In case of medical problem our skiable terrain is at twenty minutes flying from Tbilissi. And in case of bad weather conditions, with no fly possible , we will be able to evacuate a wounded persons very fastly with the ambulance.

Hospital of Gudushauri support us by preparing the all our safety materiel and also by training our staff to the use of this materiel.

We continue to work on the safety of our operation , and our working agreement with the hospital insure us  a news quality of SERVICE in the heliski business.
